@asturiasceltic3183 he couldn't get funding for his expedition in Italy. Just lately heard, though, that on return from his first of 2 Spanish funded voyages to Carribean, he reported to Templars in Portugal en route to (before) the Spanish crown. Those are Templar style crosses still depicted on his sails, and Templar affiliation would explain his access to networking across Europe. I thought Columbus was appointed governor of Spain's first colony, and didn't thrive in that role.

I thought it possible Parson could be an aspirational name assigned by parents, as "Colonel" occasionally has been. I don't know that either way.

The 19th c insistence on confining charity to the deserving poor is not gone! Accusations that want is caused by gambling, drug use (including nicotine and alcohol) are still rife! Telling poor that ignorance benefits them is not so new, though. Medieval bibles were copied and read in Latin, and parables told by illustrations in church art, so church officials could be gatekeepers of their crown - serving truths. Church establishment were angered by the press printed Bible, not wanting laity to form their own interpretations. The many freshly informed opinions fed the Protestant bickering.

Speaking of concerns of propaganda, would it suit your YouTube mission to spell out scary aspects of Project 2025? Not just djt, but MANY if not most Republicans are behind and on board with this, and need to be voted out for the safety of all of us. Book banning, history editing, and the elimination of Department of Education seem relevant to NYTN's primary focus. Elimination of EPA & OSHA scare me even more, as damage to environment will happen faster than revision of history, and erosion of worker protections is well underway! Prohibition of birth control, IVF, & abortion, as well as denying gays' rights to marry and to have their existence acknowledged are so far from the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness we were promised that campaigners encounter disbelief of GOP intentions! As coach Walz says of Trump's denial of involvement with and awareness of it: "You don't put together a playbook if you don't intend to use it!" Trump says directly to corporate media "I don't know it, don't intend to read it (Duh! And he has people for that!), and parts of it I don't like." But to smaller audiences he says eliminating Department of education will be hard on small states like Iowa and Idaho, but that's just tough. DJT knows, and supports, the elimination of government functioning! I trust Harris and Walz to know the difference between Iowa and Idaho! The developer sees two coasts, and all in between is distressed property that will be worth flipping when shoreline encroaches upon it! I know you don't focus on politics here, Danielle, but Ziklag,Heritage Foundation, and their puppet threaten US's ability to keep improving!

Weren't both of those presidents fans of eugenics? FDR gets credit for toning his down, but if he didn't invent the redlining policies in the execution of the GI bill, he sure didn't discourage the bankers who did!
