  1. If melungeon is not a melange , I'll eat my maslin bread! Maslin, mixed wheat and rye (Society for Creative Anachronism cook) to duplicate rye as a weed in wheatfields: harvested, ground, and baked together. Same word root as miscellaneous. See also metis in Canada.
