Not sure what you're citing, as most districts donated their unused food. Also, I'm okay making sure kids are eating during a panemic that saw millions of their parents lose their jobs. I don't like to see any food wasted, but I don't like seeing hungry kids even more.

@focusmelvin i support some of my taxes going to help children not go hungry. Imagine how much harder it would be to pay attention and learn at school on an empty stomach. Seems like a small investment with a big payoff.

Sounds like those parents haven't taught them to clear their plates. Sad.

@songshit2541 If those parents had spoken up (and been willing to put more tax dollars towards it) things would likely have been better. Again, still not blaming the students when the adults should have done more.
