  1. I still have a functioning battery operated alarm clock that my parents bought over sixty years ago. They're both long gone but the clock is still working. I think it's going to outlast me. I'm now in my mid seventies.

  2. Oh, I really miss those glass bottles of fresh raw milk that landed on the doorstep. I didn't even mind when the little bluetit broke into the lid and stole it's fair share of cream off the top. Even the bird knew what was good for it.
