It's incredible that so very much is being asked for these apartments in New York while so many decent people can't find work there and are sleeping in the street now. It's heartbreaking.

@copperfish543 Just like you made the classical decision to be totally ignorant. You couldn't be blamed for your parents but what makes you think they're at fault for losing their jobs. There are now millions of them living in their cars and on the streets in America because there simply is no place for them to live. NO PROPERTY FOR THEM TO RENT.

There's nowhere to live in Brisbane, everyone from Sydney and Melbourn is moving up here and the rents are skyrocketing.

@JuniperJennifer666 Do you have any idea how hard it might be for a homeless person to get a job? If you were an employer and were looking for a trustworthy person to employ. The first question is " What's your address?" If a woman or a man has just been thrown out of their home by their father or their wife because of an argument. What do they do?

@againstthepods4316 I guess because the weather is better, everyone thinks it's a better and cheaper place to buy a house but things are exploding up here so fast now that's not case anymore. A couple of years ago the price of RE here was cheaper, a lot cheaper but things have changed now. Here now, you can't find anywhere to buy a house. Too many people have moved up here.

@ravenna9969 There wouldn't be ghettos if these apartments weren't built to be left empty. They're the very reason for the ghetto in the first place. Of course you would know that though if you used your brain.

@wombat5252 The trouble with your wonderful theory is that this is how the USA started out. Taking the land from the Inians in the first place. Now look at the mess. It's the Indians that can't buy it back no matter what. When people have finished spreading all over the USA and can't afford that land they'll go elsewhere and, no doubt already have. Cuba, Venezuela, included. But don't forget China is on their way over to the USA and they already own half of it now. They're taking over so you yanks had better move over because I don't doubt that half of the buildings in New York are already owned by Chinese. 😏

@Ripcraze Try twenty years. That's more like it. Maybe even forty but twenty is the worst. It's the whole of the western world that's it's effecting, not just New York.

@halnogaies1256 99% of educated people living in big houses know nothing about finance. They live from hand to mouth every month from one pay check to the next. How do you think they can teach a child what they don't know themselves.

@christhedoc8689 I'm not saying people are homeless all their lives either. Sometimes it's because they're thrown out of their homes by their parents or the wives run out because they just can't take the abuse anymore. It can take a while to get back on their feet. No one lives on the streets permanently. But, can you imagine being dirty and cold and asking for a job?

Looks like it's doing a pretty good copy of China. This are getting this way in Oz now, so many people can't find a place to live and if they do they can't afford to eat.

Russo21 Zir Six billion? Count again. I believe it's going down now as the majority of India are killing their baby girls off before they're born and China have stoped breeding like rabbits as well. It seems now, it's only the West that havnen't learned the lesson yet. There are nearly eight billion people on the planet now. In 1950 there were only 2.5. I'm sick of hearing people proudly saying they have twelve or thirteen children they can't feed and much of this I put down to the churches they love so much.
