Our brains are made of 60% fat, and 20% cholesterol and you cannot possibly get that from vegetables and grain. We need meat and fat. We are made of the stuff.

@vatsmith8759 Fat is in animals and dairy. Oils are in vegetables, seeds and grain. I'm sorry if you misunderstood my meaning. Cholesterol cannot be found in vegetable matter. Some is made by the body but, really not enough.

All these exercise promoters never think of people that simply cannot do this. People who have spent their lives never ever going to a gym or even taking a walk on a daily basis, yet, they too live long lives because they never broke a bone or suffered injuries from playing football or doing something else as crazy.

If we're lucky.

In Australia most machines serve cans of Coke and they're 375 ml. You can only buy bigger bottles from supermarkets.

OH HOW RIGHT YOU ARE.

In one respect I agree with you, but calories are units of energy. We should be eating real food. If you must eat vegetable matter and it does you no harm then fine, but don't forger we're animals and we are made of meat.

When you're eating good food and red meat no matter what shape or form it comes in. Sausages or meat patties, will never make you fat. The more fat in the meat, the more comfortable it will keep you. Most people who eat this way only eat once or twice a day. I'm a pensioner, and can easily afford it.

@WhiteEvo6 Congratulations to you and your wife. An Immunologist put me on an almost entirely animal based diet 35 years ago. Prior to that I was a virtual mental and physical cripple. The change came within a couple of weeks so I know exactly what you're saying.

Absolutely correct, but don't give sugar a pass. You know, I've read most of the comments and you are the only one that has dared to mention seed oils. That's really sad.

If you're talking about weight-loss drugs. I was placed on one about ten years ago. It worked for six months and I lost 30 kg. Then I was on it for another ten years but the weight went right back up. These bloody drugs have very nasty side-effects. Eat good food and you will lose weight. Meat and fat never made anyone fat.

Aussie bread contains sugar but not much. My complaint is it also contains soy. EVERYTHING contains SOY even medicines now.
1
@TheSpoovy I swear manufacturers in the US are determined to make the population ill for the drug companies.

I would love to see the elimination of all subsidies. Maybe the poor animals that are locked up, standing on cement floors will get to eat grass for a change.

@Flyingjaffacake Actually yes there is. It takes a while because cholesterol stays in the system for a while but many woman lose their period and men frequently have problems in that area. All the sex hormones are made of cholesterol and so is bile. All body cells have some cholesterol apart from (I think) red blood cells. That could be easily checked. I hope this is helpful. These are the most obvious signs.

@JollyRoger183 I wasn't talking about what the brain runs on. I said what it is made of. You are talking about what is in the blood. If you're on about the blood. All the glucose the blood actually requires is about 4 mg at any one time and that includes what goes into the brain. Of course if you eat sugary foods, you overdo that amount every time. 4mg is barely a teaspoon full and the body makes what it needs.

@adambarnes4191 So that why vegan women often lose their periods and men can't raise one then? Explain that? The sex hormones are all cholesterol and while we make some, we don't make enough, not nearly enough. Nearly every cell in our body requires some cholesterol.

So, how do you cook it? Do you use good healthy ground meat and cook it in oil or lard? Do you buy the bun or cook it yourself? Be careful, how do you buy the vegetables, and what are they grown in?

Smoking didn't make people lose weight. And giving up didn't make people gain weight, they just used food as a substitute to do something when they didn't have a cigarette in their hands. I didn't use food, I got stick into my computer and mouse. Every time I went for a smoke I grabbed my mouse instead.

Well, I'm dead against using drugs for weight loss. They all have serious side effects and most (if not all) only work for a few months then, with weight just piles back on. It's a hell of a waste of money.

Quite agree, all animal products and seafood. Good gear. I'm sick of people saying milk is bad news but give it to me rather than anything else.

How old are you? Do you want someone wiping your arse when you're sixty because you can't reach it?
1
@adambarnes4191 Come on face it. The best most people do is sit around all day from day one to the day they die. They don't go running around, the best they do is feed themselves and breed. Then, like lions they watch the world go round.
