We should have done this twenty years ago. Thank you for finally dragging this into the light.

This woman knows what she's talking about. None of this has anything to do with politics or any church. You shouldn't have to go a preacher or a church leader to find out what you should do to your body. IT'S YOURS.

We are more than frequently told "this isn't good enough, you have to do better" So you believe you're not good enough.

For the Maasai to turn to the rest of the world for help after such a long time, things must really be changing for the worse. They are a proud people.

The USA is totally backward. Regarding religion and human rights. I live in Australia where these subjects simply don't arise. They were settled more than fifty years ago.

@dr.benchcanister5277 Go back to history when people worked every hour they were awake. This change. It's time.

I have to admit, until now I've been dead against all tattoos. This is a really enlightening talk. Thank you for the information. At the age of seventy I wouldn't mind a bit of extra make-up as my eyesight is too bad to put it on myself now.

I'll be mean, I really hate that unbearable howl introduction noise of TED. Why do I constantly have to turn the volume down before switching the programs on?
17
She didn't come to talk about climate change, she came to talk politics.
17
It makes my blood boil when I think that you only have to cross a state line to break the law in the US. I wouldn't live there in a million years.
17
$PRICE I only see dollar digns $$$$ The lenses already cost too much for me.

Before she continues, as far as I can see China is the currant carbon burner of the day. They're choking on it at the moment.
11
We didn't have this problem when food was food and supermarkets didn't exist. You're not old enough to remember those days. When there was a butcher and a greengrocer on every corner and we had to go to the dairy to get the rest. That's all we needed. No chemicals.

Solar panels are all over roofs in Australia, in businesses and houses everywhere. They are getting cheaper and more and more efficient with storage batteries.

That is an incredibly uplifting story. It should be heard by all children. Thank you for telling it. Three kisses.

For a so called expert, you have no idea what good food is. I'm so sorry for your father, but he didn't die of a heart attack from eating meat. And the massive amount of meat in a Big Mac is the least in it. Animal fat never harmed anyone. Seed oils and sugar does all the damage you're blaming on meat. Go vegan and see what it does to you. No one eats three meat meals a day. The vast majority shove corn down their necks as soon as they wake. Sugar. Load it up with more sugar, and then add more and more of it throughout the day. Enjoy your cornflakes.

It isn't just diabetics that suffer with these nasty little itchy problems. My daughter couldn't get rid of it as soon as she turned vegan. The vegan diet is very glucose based. YES! Sugars, Rice, potatoes, wheat, fruit. She couldn't get rid of her nasty little problem.

You'd have lost your head in the 1600s.

Keep it up. Do it with more and more fruits and vegetables, teach more and more people to do it as well. We no longer want to be poisoned by chemicals. We've had enough of them. Our animals have also had more than enough chemicals to kill us all as well. If you can grow fresh food vertically, there will be more land for animals to eat fresh grass as well. The world will be a much healthier place. Thank you for this talk.

Whatever you say, bad junk food and sugary foods will cause acne and if you have it the best thing you can do is eat much less sugary junk. It'll clear up a lot faster. Bet-ya.
8
It never ever occurred to me before when filling out forms how that could effect people. I think if I'm ever asked again, I'll write, (mind your own business) and see how they like that. This story has really effected me.
8
I wonder what the birds would have thought if they'd seen it.
8
Memory helps keep freinds. If your memory is genuinely bad you will lose them.
8
Quite often it's not mental health that needs fixing, it's diet. If the food and drink is wrong it can seriously damage thoughts and behavior.
7
Most of us are in too much of a hurry to walk away from the PC for five minutes. Sad but true.
7
The fact is, they didn't just eat a plant-based diet, they were fed less junk food. That's why they were happier, they probably lost weight. Now, what else were they being fed? More additives to their diet? Don't tell me they only ate vegetables and fruit. No one can survive on that.
7
Good work and very different. This photographer certainly got around.
7
You actually make me feel relaxed. I had a seizure over forty years ago that did me some real damage but although the damage is still there and memory isn't as good as it could be, it has gradually improved over the years. It's really annoying though when constantly asked on PCs passwords or codes. I could pull out my hair at times. There should be a better way, especially when we get old.
7
@mowgli2071 Come-on. You know as well as I do, that not a single politician in the USA is game to admit there's no God. That's why there's so much trouble there about women's rights. Every other Western country has no problem. Just your god-fearing presidents etc.
7
@mortygoldmacher Well said.
7
This is the very reason I've never bought a packet of biscuits in my life, and I'm older than you. They just rot teeth. The very same thing is happening all over the world, America, Australia. etc...etc...etc...
7
The things people can and should do without supermarkets and technology.
7
I'm so sick of the animals getting the blame. When are we going to blame ourselves? We can't continue to keep breeding like mice and rats. People can't continue to multiply out of sight. When I was born, there were one and a half billion people. Now.. there are over eight and I have another ten years at least before I'm dead.
6
I was eleven months old and my brother was born in the London smog of 1952 when busses were being guided by men walking in front of them with lamps. I suppose we were lucky back then as it only lasted until the weather changed and blew the smogs away. You can't blow traffic away.
6
@mowgli2071 Ok sweetheart 250 million sperms are ejected all alive and only one reaches the egg. Look how many die. Tough luck.
6
It happened everywhere, Australia too. One only per person in the supermarket. It still ran out.
6
Oh thank you. It brought me to tears again and again.
6
Music can work wonders. It always has before.
6
I can't help wondering, why.... you start talking about protein yet, you are surrounded by leaves. This is my initial notice and I can't help wondering right away. ARE YOU A VEGAN.

@clocksforsale8120 How ofter are women stopped from having abortions in Australia? NEVER! The law has been ignored for decades. I'll be very surprised if someone had to go interstate for an abortion in this country but if you did, you'd have got it no trouble at all. There wouldn't have been a church rally outside the hospital.
5
Sugar is the disaster and he never even thought to mention it.
5
We have to educate the public of the truth about sugar. It's killing us.
5
When I was born there were on one and a half billion people in the world and before I'm dead there's going to be more than ten billon people. I don't understand what makes you think that people are going to suddenly stop overbreeding. We can't afford this outrageous explosion of population. It has to come to a standstill sometime in the near future.
5
Having suffered Urticaria for six years I've also found that distraction can also take your mind off that too. With Urticaria, (hives) you can sit and tear your skin off or, you can get up and make a quick cup of coffee and your mind will go elsewhere. It's happened to me many times.

Scan the whole earth fine, but leave the forests alone. What's under them will stay there, it's not going anywhere. When you make better pictures we'll know more about what's there without interfering with them. In the meantime, if you've scanned the entire earth, I'm sure you'll find plenty more far more available to dig up.
5
You eat soy, soy goes into all packaged foods and the animals eat the rest of the plant. People just eat the beans and squeeze the oils out of it. So where and why are the animals doing the damage?
5
I always forget that awful whaling noise at the beginning of this and when I begin to watch I have to duck because I can't reach the volume control fast enough. It's an awful sound that begins this. It's far too loud and unnecessary. I don't know why more people don't compain.
5
It strikes me as rather amusing that suddenly the air conditioner has become the villain when no one complained about the heater. I have three air conditioners that never get switched on, and at the same time, in winter I shivver because I don't have a heater.

The best thing for the human body is the carnivore diet as many people and doctors are finding out. Eating the way our ancestors used to eat thousands of years ago.
4
Meat deliveres less greenhouse gasses than vegetables, as animals put back water and food into the soil, but vegetables do not. Worse still, grains are even worse for the soil as they use chemicals instead of natural food for the soil.
