So things have become more and more painful since computerisation started thirty years go. Back then, we had a couple of passwords to remember. NOW WE HAVE HUNDREDS. And they're impossible. The computerised world has made life unliveable.

  5. My ten year old girl has been actually switched off twice in the decade I've owned it. It has a sleep mode and it goes into sleep mode about forty minutes after it's left alone. I look at it this way. The old light bulbs with the thin wire of tungsten that would burn bright in the centre. If they were constantly turned on and off, they didn't last long, but,... if you left them on they could last for years.
