I'm sorry to say you clearly assume fat in meat to be dangerous and fattening which is completely untrue. Fat never made anyone fat, sugar does that. You also seem to be blaming salt for the damage that sugar does all round. I'm seventy-one, eat fatty fish and meat every day with added salt, haven't even had a cold in over forty years and don't gain weight. At the same time, I don't consume sugar.

I've never heard such a fairy story as red meat associated with cancer. We are made of red meat, we've been eating red meat for millions of years, our brains are made of animal fat and cholesterol and our blood is red. Cancers feed like crazy on glucose. That is well known and has been for nearly a hundred years.

I'm very happy with saturated fat and will eat as much as is on my plate. In the case of salt as in bacon, there a simple answer to that. If you get thirsty have a drink.

You need fat for weight loss and heart health, chicken is off.

@Talitha If he was as heavy as you believe he was, he sure ate more than that, because eggs and meat wouldn't have killed him or made him fat. I'm sorry to hear about this. Some very unfortunate people get cancer but almost everyone eats carbohydrates these days and this is unfortunate because it all turns into sugar when you eat it.

Don't blame bacon though, that's cruel. You'd be surprised how much meat was smoked and salted before the days of refridgeration. How long do you think meat would last in Australia where I am?:face-turquoise-covering-eyes:
