Yep, California, the land is sinking from the water that's being sucked up from underground. It's gone down two feet so far last year I believe.

@davidarundel6187 We've been eating animal fats since before the bible says the world was born and that's not long. We've been eating sugar a few hundred years and in abundance only fifty or so. Mechanism has put it in all our food and drinks now. We now eat fruit all year round. This has never ever been the case as it only ripens on trees for about a month in every year. "Unless of course we leap all over the planet" We couldn't find it.

Same trouble with almond farming all over the land in Australia and South America. California too. Those trees are dip fed as well and each almond needs a couple of gallons of water, bloody ridiculous.

@lissarodrigues8950 Businessmen will do all they can to make money where and when they can, and they don't care who they hurt in the process. This same story is being told by the poor farmers in South America.

@davidarundel6187 Grapes are fine and don't need such specialised areas to grow. What I find annoying is when they grow sultana grapes. There's no point in growing beautiful grapes just to dry them up. That's sacrilege.

@davidarundel6187 Sultanas are dangerously high in sugar, in fact they're the worst thing to eat. I've picked Sultana grapes in South Australia, I live in Brisbane so I'm sure you're well aware of the fires we've had to put up with and the drouts. The Murray river has been stopped from use of local farmers by the infestation of big business here too. Thousands of acres of almond trees have been planted and the water has been diverted for them to be drip fed. The local farmers are missing out along the river because of it. There has been uproar as those almonds take up about two gallons of water per single almond to grow. That's what I call a disgusting waste of water, especially in a country like Australia. We just don't have enough. As far as I know it hasn't affected our wine industry though, at leat not as far as I'm aware.

@davidarundel6187 Fructose is the sugar that causes fatty liver. Ouch! Fibre doesn't get into the arteries, thank heaven or it would do some damage. It stays in the digestive system. 😏
2
@davidarundel6187 If you can show me even the slightest similarity between alcohol and animal fats I'll eat an umbrella. Are you crazy? You must be a vegan because you've been brainwashed.
2
@davidarundel6187 Hey, remember? Fructose comes from fruit. So does wine it's called alcohol. It causes liver damage and eventually scerosis of the liver, the final event that kills off the liver. Yes, fructose.

WELL! At least the animals put back the water they drank. No one had to pull water out of the ground for them. They put the water back after they drank it. You're just going to piss it into a porcelain bowl.

They're taking water from underground, they're taking water from anywhere they can get it. They don't care where they get it as long as they get it.

You call big business people making a fortune that's probably not local, nature?
1
If everyone thought like you and had one in their yard, this couldn't happen. Big businessmen wouldn't be able to do this to small people. This is happening all over the world, Australia, South America, and Europe. I'm sure it's happening elsewhere too.

Glyphosate is going to kill off the whole planet if it isn't stopped. We need to put the animals back on the land where they belong and get the toxins out of the food.

True, but neither is a lettuce. You can do more with an avocado, that's the problem, they can be put into almost any meal, sweet, sour or salad. They're filling too because they're oily.
1
Avocadoes have the ability to be added to almost any meal. Sweet or sour, salad or hot. Add pepper or strawberries to them, that's the problem. You can't do that with a lettuce.

@q9c9pilrandagio5 A single cow eats grass and gets water from the grass. Then pisses back into the grass, so uses nothing. Take that one back to your avocado farm.
1
@TonyHavenMusic They're growing them in Australia too now.
1
@njugunamaina The almond tree farming is doing the same amount of damage. Two gallons of water per almond. That's terrible.

@alterego157 No lies. Cattle put back what they drink and no-one bores water holes to give them water. Look at what's getting all the water here.
