  2. For intercontinental hypersonic missiles I'm in complete agreement. But if you want a carrier gone, I think a barrage of hypersonic missiles might be better than short-range ballistic due to radar horizons. I'm sure it's more complicated than that, with airborne early warning aircraft being a thing, how vulnerable they are, etc. Also, @10:37: when something is so over the top silly that the most scientifically German of German scientists absolutely cannot keep a straight face.
