Edit: The highest age restriction I've heard of is in the low 20s, which I think is the same age range under which which Baltimore(?) refuses to charge anyone for murder, and for the same reason but for opposite politics, that our brains aren't quite done yet.

  5. The people who just want to get on with their lives without forcing anyone else to do anything aren't the loudest ones, so aren't the ones who get the most attention. I think the only way out of that is for us all to be trans-species, as it seems to be a part of the human condition.

  6. Minor correction to @4:00 There's a difference between the attempted suicide risk (which is higher for women) and the successful suicide risk (which is higher for men).

  7. That's why we need more hard data. I will say that U've seen more people saying that gender-reassignment care helped, and I haven't seen a lot of people say that it hurt them, but on the other hand the people who have seem to suffer some pushback, too. In any case, the plural of anecdote is not data.

  8.  @lu544  Sorry, but you've made a classic mistake of lumping everyone on the other side into the same group. For some people, just calling themselves a woman (or a man) is what is being pushed. If you cannot accept someone just living their best life, then I think you have the problem. It's true that some will insist on you changing your language, too, but not all of them. There are trans people who are OK with you not calling them or considering them their self-identified gender.
