  1. I guess an electric charge would be conveyed from a black hole the same way? That is, the electric field is always there, even if photons cannot escape.

  2.  @starventure  I'm still up in the air as to if virtual photons are supposed to be real or just a mathematical trick. If electric charge is conveyed by virtual photons then having them escape a black hole would be dicey. Though conveying electric charge in a medium where something with a charge is moving faster than the speed of light in that medium would also raise some questions.
