  1. What was he supposed to do, trust her not to fire? I think that would be an unreasonable standard. The only questionable bit, to me, would be that he could easily have killed someone downrange, but I also don't think he could have been required to not fire. I wonder what was wrong with her. Psychotic break? I haven't seen anything about a toxicology report.

  2. He didn't need to kill her, but IMHO that doesn't mean he's in the wrong. Requiring her to pull the trigger before he can just isn't a reasonable requirement to me.
