  1. My other beef with the Roe v Wade decision (from a layman's POV) was that it ignored the interests of the unborn in America. AFAIK a right to privacy doesn't allow you infringe upon the well-being of another who is also protected by U.S.. While Isuppose it's true that the unborn are by definition not citizens (not having been born to Americans or being born in America), the courts decided that U.S. law applies to non-citizens in the U.S. as well, even those illegally in the U.S. If the court had decided that the unborn aren't legally persons, that'd be one thing. Refining ambiguous terms seems a court-worthy thing to do. If the voters didn't like it, they could pass laws to explicitly disambiguate that.
