  1. From what I could tell, U.S.-wide, police have shot around 135 unarmed Black people since 2015. And some of those were, IMO, justified. 9,913 Black people were murdered in 2020 alone, the vast majority of those by other Black people. By my simple math, BLM is going after about one quarter of one percent of the murders. The solution? There is no solution, only trade-offs, as Dr. Sowell is fond of saying. The only way not to have fatal police mistakes are either invent a 9mm with a flawless stun setting or don't have cops. Cops will never be perfect. But if you get rid of the cops then you'll end up with far more people dying violently. So you accept that cops will kill some people who shouldn't have been killed.
