  1. I left California in 2021. It used to be a purple state, and it worked, but now it isn't, and it doesn't. Now I get snow and occasional subzero temps but I'm in a state with less taxes, more freedom, less crime, and a house that's paid for. Using a snow thrower a half dozen times a year is an inconvenience I can get over.
