  1. I guess that's the downside. I take a pretty libertarian view on drugs -- what you put into your own body is your business. But if the rest of us have to pay for addicts who want to spend their entire waking lives blitzed out of their mind, that's different.

  3. Re drugs, I'm OK with it being legal for people to do stupid things that only hurt themselves. If people who should know say, "Don't do drugs, it can mess you up," and someone gets messed up, well, the downsides happen to the right people instead of having to the taxpayer or civil liberties. The minimum wage... eh. I think that ends up helping less than claimed, and hurting less than claimed. For the flag, a nothing-burger. I don't fly the confederate flag, but I don't assume people who do are racist. The people behind the change will find something else to be outraged about before I'm done typing this sentence.
