  3. Thank you for correcting "beg the question." As far as the actual event goes, I think that someone can redeem themselves, and we've made peace with people who we've gone to war against. The WaffenSS was bad; there are a couple instances where ordinary WW2 German soldiers fought alongside American soldiers to fight against the WafffenSS), but unless he committed atrocities in person then I think there have been enough decades to judge him by the whole person.

  7. The assumption that race was involved in Penny's decision is just an assumption. Neely's actions were sufficient to allow Penny's restraint of him. Attaching alleged motivations for justified actions accomplishes nothing.

  34. The boot could have been planted or could have come from anywhere. But... Sweden's response (or relative lack thereof) suggests they think the U.S. did it. I can't think of any reason for them to protect Russia's reputation at this point.
