I think the Russian reaction to this suggests they think Ukraine will find it useful.

I've decided to call Russia Novocalifornia. That means Russia is now part of California.
13
Yes, Canada's F-555 runs on maple syrup and hockey fervor, and it's so stealthy that there's no evidence that it even exists.
10
If Russia would rather cease to exist than not be allowed to conquer its neighbors, we might as well get it over with.
8
Technically yes. These days, with automation, we could turn out P-51 Mustangs like crazy.
5
Someone successfully did rocket surgery.
5
@bosshog8844 Is NATO being more aggressive than, say, trying to annex a neighboring country?
5
I think retaliation is more likely to come in car bombs than drones.
5
I was hoping the next gen armor would be mechas.
5
So massive artillery bombardment instead of fewer precision airstrikes? Less risk to pilots and aircraft, but slower progress over land.
4
They could have just armed the Chinese and Koreans and let them have at it. The nuclear bombs were more merciful than that, though.
3
I keep wondering what the results would have been if WW2 Japan hada lot of materiel support from elsewhere.
3
Russia's accusations of Naziism are about as serious as Antifa's.
3
Who was Wanger named after?
3
So let Russia pull out, and let the population vote in an election monitored by a neutral party.
3
If Russia had surrendered to Germany they would have had peace.
2
@dfgjhjggnmbmbm It's hard to see how "letting NATO EU bleed a little more" is a great strategy when NATO is losing old equipment and Russia is losing men.
2
NATO sends aid to Ukraine without recompense, and that makes Ukraine a tool of the West? Was there a part in there I missed?
2
Starving a country with blockades is a little difficult when it's an entire country. Those often incude farmland.
2
Remind me how Anglos made Russia invade Ukraine?
2
Someone has to pilot the planes.
1
@brotherjongrey9375 About a year ago, I guess.
1
No blood for tea!
1
The ground combat would be interesting. Stormtroopers who never hit vs. red shirts who always die.
1
Where would you put it?
1
@danmichaelabad6263 Building a fortress around the marines would work wonderfully if the marines sat there for a day and let the Romans build a fortress. If the marines charge any point during the construction then you have a quick fight between a platoon of marines and a subset of a platoon.
1
@ahta5708 "defense" never meant defense for everyone. Russia was threatening Ukraine, not a U.S. military ally.
1
U.S. vs Taliban?
1
@peetky8645 It sure seems to be for some. 😀
1
@awesom6588 Russia never had to worry about a NATO invasion because Russia has nukes. Lots of nukes, even if they may not all work. Russia invaded Ukraine for the same reason it invaded Chechnya and Georgia.
1
It takes a year of training to make a fighter pilot, and not even a good one. Give Ukraine F-16s and they'll sit on the ground.
1
@sababugs1125 That's what I thought!
1
@ДаняСаго Thanks but somebody already answered.
1
@theoraclerules5056 My point was that they could grow food in Japan. They would have lost population, but they were willing to lose population..
1
@jadapinkett1656 I didn't ask for "a vote." I asked for a vote without a pro-Russian army in charge and monitored by a neutral party. If you think I trust a vote run by a country where people keep falling out of windows, you're as ridiculous as I think you are.
1
@flip526 Now, yes. Those who didn't want to be with Russia left after Russia conquered Crimea.
1
@flip526 So what's the harm in letting there be a vote as I outlined?
1
@flip526 The vote in an area with Russian-backed armed forces everywhere? That vote?
1
@flip526 Whether you like it or not, I have no reason to believe the referendum was perfectly in line with actual opinions on the ground. Yes, many countries were conquered but that doesn't make this legitimate.
1
Skynet will handle those.
1
I wonder if Biden would try to push a no-fly zone.
1
@johnqpublic3766 Sooner or later it might. Then I guess Novocalifornia (formerly Russia) would become part of Mexico too.
1
@johnqpublic3766 Not that I know of. Are you on Putin's? Does it come with dental?
1
@СергейШершневас Yeah. But not as much if they get dental. I'm hoping to find out. 😀
1
@johnqpublic3766 I wouldn't trust the New York Times to tell me how to wipe my ass. By the way, how many people are in Novocalifornia? They will need guacamole and salsa.
1
Could Japan have successfully invaded Autralia if they'd allied with the emus?
1
How much use for scout vehicles is there with drones all over the place?
