  1. My personal take, which may be totally wrong: I think a lof of Black voters just stopped believing the Democrats. And not without reason. As far as the men vs. women divide... Men and women both value safety and opportunity, but women tend to lean more towards the safety end of things than men. And, again, not without reason. That may not be all the answer, but I think it's some of it.
