I was surprised to learn Memphis is bad, and I'm surprised again to learn New Orleans is even worse. Worse than this, worse than even this, I don't know a good way out of it. We need to understand the importance of fathers and law enforcement, and those will help, but it'll also take decades to have an effect. Supposedly a small minority of people are responsible for a huge number of crimes, and stopping them will mean a lot, but I don't know that it'll be nearly enough to get things back to normal.
