  1. "Blinkered" -- he admitted he was partially blind. And he admits his retraction is intended not to be honest but to be more effective at changing minds. Granted he's an editorialist; he doesn't even pretend to be a journalist AFAIK. He's just there to have an opinion. But he should have at least a modest connection to reality.
