two celestial poles. you can see stars rotate around one point from Australia and see them rotate around a different point from America
2
flat earthers are the least scientifically inclined people i've heard of how many have asked why you can't just hover in a balloon and wait for the earth to spin under you, or said that gravity is only a theory? flat earthers consistently overestimate their understanding of science.
2
Eratosthenes experiment works with a local sun on a flat plain but not if you add in more than two observers. Even with three observers it only works for a ball. Einstein meant a Michelson-Morley type experiment and he was right Anti-crepuscular rays show that crepuscular rays are parallel they only look like they diverge and converge for the same reason railroad tacks do
2
Any museum with a Foucault pendulum shows the earth is rotating. smh
1
@lizziebaker6924 crepuscular rays are parallel, just like anti-crepuscular rays. the suez canal doesn't need locks because down where ever you are is toward the center of the earth
1
two celestial poles. constant rate of movement of the sun. moon not changing size as it sets.
1
remember, if you do ask questions, never listen to the answers

please stop using your computer
1
@jaredbabineaux702 Please stop believing YouTube. Which should be easy after you've stopped using your computer. I've seen evidence with my own eyes that the earth is a globe.
1
@jaredbabineaux702 You can test it yourself. Look at a sunset. If the sun is setting instead of shrinking to a point above the horizon then we know the earth is a globe.
1
@jaredbabineaux702 The sun isn't smaller overhead than when rising or setting. Use a solar filter and look at the size compared to a quarter held at arm's length and you'll find out for yourself or do it without a filter and compare the quarter at arm's length to the moon as it sets and when it is overhead. It's the same size. The moon changes positions in the sky because it doesn't orbit parallel to the equator sometimes its more north and sometimes more south. that's easy stuff if you understand the science involved
1
A no nonsense provable explanation will just make flat earthers change the subject.
1
Find out for yourself. Create a model where the sun can move away and set without shrinking on a flat earth.
1
@dontwanttogiveaname6694 All the objective evidence says that the earth is an oblate spheroid. Every time the sun sets instead of shrinking into a point, it proves the globe again. Atmospheric lensing wouldn't keep it the same size all day any more than it keeps mountains or airliners the same size. Wake up.
1
Sorry but flat earthers don't understand science at all. They keep asking why airplanes don't have to fly faster going east to catch up with the spinning earth FFS. And Himiwari and DSCOVR send non-composite images, and composite isn't the same as CGI. Flat earthers are usually convinced they know science but just suffer from Dunning-Kruger.

level is not always flat
1
@chrishuynh4684 education level
1
@chrishuynh4684 What? Education level. It's a measurement, so is water level. It's the height of the water from something
1
We have two celestial poles. either everyone in Australia is in on it or we live on a globe
1
It isn't proven science, it's people cheating you or using slightly curved surfaces
1
Australia isn't upside down you idiot. South isn't down FFS. And Himiwari sends pictures of the earth all the time.

@joschelei262 Someone who knows the globe model would know about conservation of momentum. If you think heliocentrism has balloons "escaping gravity" or "carried along the wind by gravity" then you don't know heliocentrism as well as you thought you did.
1
@joschelei262 You're funny. You can't visualize it, can you? Launch a balloon from the earth's surface and it keeps all the momentum it had while it was on the earth's surface because momentum is conserved. How is conservation of momentum not applicable to momentum being conserved?
1
@joschelei262 Do you know what conservation of momentum is? Seriously? I don't want to jump from subject to subject, I want this one settled first.
1
conservation of momentum. Look it up since you're "scientifically minded." A balloon launched from the ground will keep the momentum it had on the ground unless something changes its speed or direction. Learn some science FFS.
1
@warlikeboar a sun over a flat earth would seem to move more and more slowly as it gets farther away, and faster when passing overhead, like an airplane. The sun will move 15 degrees an hour on average for both models, but only 15 degrees an hour for some hours on a flat earth, some more, some less
1
@rcook2608 sunset proves we live on a globe. the sun moving at a constant rate overhead proves we live on a globe. there's more
1
@heiknuuwter Yes, the eratosthenes experiment has been done with more than two observers. watch?v=V03eF0bcYno . Foucault pendulums are enough to prove the earth spins, but we have the Coriolis and Eotvos effects too. It is impossible to prove the earth is spinning if its stationary, so that's how we know it isn't stationary. I have no idea where you're going with crepuscular lines as straight, of course they're straight. That's how they can be crepuscular and anti-crepuscular rays, they are straight and parallel.
1
NASA never said all pics are CGI. Flat earthers lie to you.
1
thank you for letting the world know it isn't just Americans being so deluded
