@sermike16 I know all that. It's just that I don't agree. The spread of Germany and Italy is not a direct consequence of WWII. Hitler and Mussolini had anticipated annexations. The led wars of agression, that is to say imperialist wars, which is right the opposite of nationalism. German was thinking of makin g an empire not just for the Germans but for all the peoples of aryan race, that is to say his empire would have comprised the Alsatians, the Flemish, the Dutch and the Danish. That would have given a country with multiple peoples, multiple languages, multiple religions and multiple cultures. A nightmare for a nationalist. As for Mussolini, he was meaning to create a Mediterranean empire... That is to say with the muslim Arabs. Where do you see a nationalist plan ? As for Spain, Franco, Hitler and Mussolini had the same hate for communism, that does not make Franco a fascist. Although Franco let volunteers fight under the German uniform on the eastern front, he refused to enter WWII.
