The most important thing to say about Chinese cities is that they are fake cities. They have no history, they all look the same, they are just endless rows of residential towers with expressways running between them. The streets are crowded and noisy. And with the exception of a few major cities, it's much dirtier than Western cities. Chinese people are more accustomed to making their way through piles of garbage.

@abc2390986 I know nothing about Harbin. I know a bit Canton, Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an and Wuhan. I was there more than fifteen years ago so I can just assume it has changed. Shanghai is the only place where I was not so long ago, it was in 2019.
