  2. Anyway, Staten Island having a subway is a fake problem. If you have a suburban train that connects Staten Island to the rest of NYC through New Jersey, it's already good enough.

That's where you see that the USA being a federal state is a pain in the...When it comes to building a subway in Staten Island, the only thing that comes in mind is a connexion with the Brooklyn network. Yet all it takes is to resume the former Staten Island North Shore Branch from Saint George to Port Ivory, expand it to the Newark Airport, then continue through the cities of Newark and Jersey City and end it up in Canal Street in NYC. But Newark and Jersey City are in New Jersey...
