The German military, 100 000 strong, in order to stand behind that party, demanded ALL leaders (with a few notable exceptions) in the SA ( ca. 3 million brownshirts) put away in the night of the long knives... That amounted to between 150-200 dead out of 300 arrested... It happened.. The rest, as the saying goes, is history...

There have been multiple instances of extreme right wing violence from ppl in any and all military force... (Blackwater comes to mind) So getting those a-holes out would actually be beneficent to US military "appearance" in the world...
