Christian doctrine supports slavery as God’s law. Exodus 21 Leviticus 25

@josephimperatrice5552 Islam isn’t interfering with our government or our rights. Christian Nationalism is a serious threat. The First Commandment stands in opposition to our First Amendment.

@josephimperatrice5552 That doesn’t change the fact that Christian doctrine makes it permissible by their God’s law, does it? Our government isn’t being over run by Islamics either. Can you dispute… The First Amendment guarantees religious freedom, where are the First Commandment opposes it…? This makes Christianity fundamentally opposed to American freedoms and values.

Slavery was made permissible by the God of the Bible, according to doctrine. Which is immoral. Sin is a silly concept to begin with.

@yarpenzigrin1893 I would call them what they are. There is just no need to invoke an imaginary agent who also gets offended. Especially when you can’t demonstrate any such agent could even exist.
1
@yarpenzigrin1893 people that exist can be offended by misogyny, sexism, and racism. However, acts of misogyny, sexism, and racism don’t require someone being offended either. Sin requires that a god exists, otherwise it wouldn’t qualify as sin. And yes, people exist. That can be demonstrated. Do better.

@yarpenzigrin1893 How would you define sin?
1
@yarpenzigrin1893 If it is an immoral action or belief, just call it immoral. The term sin comes with baggage. Morality isn’t based on any gods. One dictionary definition is: an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law. Which suggests divinity, or a god. That is extra baggage which only serves to confuse the discussion. Do you find racism to be an immoral act or belief? What about misogyny? Sexism? What about slavery?
1
@yarpenzigrin1893 Do you have access to a dictionary? Why use a term that carries with it extra baggage by definition? You’re too lazy to use the term immoral when you mean immoral? So, you do find sexism, racism, and misogyny to be immoral? But not slavery? The way you phrased it is confusing. I don’t see feminism having anything to do with the terms you’ve suggested. It seems maybe you have a serious problem with women. Why is that?
1
@yarpenzigrin1893 Are you familiar with the BITE model used to describe cults? Behavior, Information, Thought, and Emotion? How would the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes apply? I’m not confusing feminism with women. You’ve acknowledged you’re OK with misogyny…the dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women. Do you have access to a dictionary….or are you an emotional parrot?
1
@yarpenzigrin1893 So, what you’re saying is that you don’t hold to any norms by definition, and just incorrectly apply labels based on a lack of understanding and bias. Feminism isn’t about misandry, but you want to equate the two. It seems more like you’ve been radicalized, and have become very emotional…beyond reason. So what if s handful of women are misandrists? Does that make it reasonable for you to do the same towards women in general? And what’s with rejecting the common usage of words by definition? Feminism isn’t feminism because you’re butt hurt? What’s the real underlying issue? Is it that women don’t worship you?
