@cmdesign01 You need to be dragged along….ok. No….we can discuss Star Wars, and whether Darth Vader was a Sith Lord….but that isn’t an acknowledgement that it is historical. Harry Potter has a scar on his forehead, but that isn’t historical. Thor is mythological, but we can discuss his flowing yellow hair and powerful hammer. It isn’t historical. Lol. You don’t have any evidence for any gods, and you think tricking someone would be convincing?

@cmdesign01 Should you know? If you don’t know, then how do you know whether slavery is moral or immoral? Biblical doctrine makes it lawfully permissible to own another person as property. It is also permissible to beat slaves you own, according to doctrine. It refers directly to selling one’s own daughter as a slave, and taking virgin girls from their slaughtered families* as slaves. *Some slaughtering required. Slaves, obey your earthly masters with all fear. Not only the kind, but the cruel. So, does that mean slavery is suddenly moral?

@cmdesign01 Carly, the doctrine of the Bible refers to the laws of the god of the Bible, per the framework of the biblical story. Of course I don’t accept the supernatural claims to be real. However, the very real doctrine which historically many considered to be an authority, and even some today accept it as an authority….this doctrine does permit owning people as property per the will of god. You’re lying (or just wrong) about the details though. Maybe a bit of both.. Yes, there were cases of indentured servitude. Not all slaves were indentured servants though. I recommend you actually go read your Bible… Because it specifically says Hebrew Males we’re released after six year. Females were NOT released after six years. They were owned, for life, as property. Children of slaves were NOT released after six years. They were owned, for life, as property. Non-Hebrew males were not released after six years. They were owned, for life, as property. Jesus, in the NT, was referred to with the instructions: Slaves, Obey your earthly masters with all fear. Not only the kind, but the cruel. It seems you don’t know your Bible. Most don’t. And if you agree none of it is real….the doesn’t make my point moot. It still shows that the doctrine which you base your worship is an inferior moral standard.

@sunshinegirl1967 He said Love thy neighbor, but keep others as property. That’s a conflicting message at best, and doesn’t suggest it is about love at all. I can already see where you are going with the porn argument. I don’t claim to be a god, and I don’t claim to make divine laugh or be an absolute arbiter of morality. Your blanket claim about porn isn’t entirely accurate, nor is it relevant. Also, I don’t worship those that support slavery. Can you say the same?

@cmdesign01 Carly, if you can’t be honest enough to address the actual doctrine, please move on. I have demonstrated I know the Bible better than you do. So Stop lying. If Jesus exists as part of a trinity, as commonly accepted by Christians, than the laws of the doctrine are consider the inspired word of God, correct? And oh yes, “Slaves, obey your earthly masters with all fear. Not only the kind, but the cruel.”…this is more than condoning slavery. Exodus 21 is more than condoning slavery. Leviticus 25 is more than condoning slavery. Would you be so kind as to read those chapters? Then, tell me where slavery is ever condemned in the Bible. You won’t find it. This is what your religion has done for you. You can’t even admit the truth.

@angelbelieves7496 Sorry, Angel….I likely understand better than you do. Slavery is immoral because it causes needless suffering. Anyone who makes slavery (owning another person as property) permissible by law has far too low a moral standard to be praise worthy.

God knew he would be creating evil,when he created humans, yes? If God knew this would happen, and created anyway…he knowingly created evil. Could anything exist without your God’s consent? Yes, I know the fairy tale. I don’t need it explained. It seems you do.

So he created himself as the son of himself, so he could sacrifice himself to himself in order to convince himself to forgive us for being the way he created us. And God also created Hell, which means eternal torment for temporal crimes….which is both unjust, and immoral.
