Fiction is fiction, after all.

Moses is a fictional character. Like Darth Vader.

@ Yeah, you’re wrong.
3
No. None of it is true.
3
@ Yes, the part of reality where people can’t tell the difference between reality and fiction is pretty wild.
3
@ I’m sure of the evidence and reliable methods used that supports my position. Being there since time started isn’t required to be knowledgeable. Satan is also fiction. Way to demonstrate nothing more than a lack of understanding. 👍 🍪
3
@ Sorry to birth your bubble, but you only imagine they’re real. Go ahead and try to demonstrate they exist outside your imagination. How would you begin to do so?
3
@ Yes. And you have no way to prove otherwise.
2
@ legendary. Moses-like. the modern scholarly consensus is that the biblical person of Moses is largely mythical.
2
@ Thanks for catching that. ✌️
2
@ The food story was also fiction.
2
@ In other words, there is no evidence today? Sounds like an irrational position.
2
@WaterspoutsOfTheDeep Moses and the exodus have been shown to be a literary creation with no evidence to support the claims that it ever happened in reality. Real magic is fake. Fake magic is real.
1
@WaterspoutsOfTheDeep And yes, evolution is fact. People that don’t accept the theory typically don’t even understand the theory. Or,even what a theory is in science.
1
@ You obviously care, because you responded. And I am right. I don’t need your approval to be better educated and more knowledgable either.
1
@ Neither did Moses, or the Bible. In fact, according to the same book, God made slavery permissible by his own laws. Were you taught slavery is OK? What about drowning babies? Were you taught this is wrong? Because according to the book, God did that too. I’ve learned genocide is wrong, but you won’t get that from this book. What about blood sacrifice? Or human sacrifice?
1
@AlchemicRaven What is the consensus among scholars in the field regarding Moses? Hint: literary creation.
1
@flight2k5 Talking snakes and talking donkeys is pretty stupid.
1
@ And what does the consensus of experts in the field say? They’ve concluded he’s a literary creation. There is no evidence that supports the exodus story historically.
1
@ Translation: you personally don’t care whether what you believe is true. I’m just siding with experts in the field. Try to remember…real magic is fake, and magic is real. The same applies to every God.
1
@ lol. Kman, stop and think. Read Exodus 21. Read Leviticus 25. I’ve read the Bible multiple times. More than you have. I’ve attended Seminary. I’ve studied the Bible and its historicity. You have not. Owning another person as property is not a “brainless” idea of slavery. It’s what the Bible endorses and is permissible, according to the laws of God, per the Bible. It’s clear you have never read it.
1
@ No. Slavery in the Bible is an internal critique demonstrating an immoral god character. The lack of existence of a God is the reason I’m certain no God exists. I hope you’re smart enough to understand the difference and never ask such a silly question again.
1
It’s all fiction anyway.
1
@ obnoxious sigh Can you show that it isn’t?
1
@CASH-THE-NERD That only proves my position to be correct. You can’t make an argument or offer evidence of any kind. Which shows it’s just fiction. Like NYC is evidence that Spider-Man exists.
1
@ Learn science first.
