Taking virgin girls from their slaughtered families. Selling one’s daughter into slavery. Passing down slaves as an inheritance. Yes, Hebrew Males could be released after six years. Females were not released. Non-Hebrews we’re not released. Beating your slaves was also permitted. At least acknowledge the truth of wha the Bible says. Admit slavery is immoral.

  5.  @2007ghettonissanaltima  I’ve read the Bible more than once. I’ve attended Seminary. The Bible makes owning another person as property permissible by the law of god. Making it permissible is making it “OK”. Making it unlawful would be making not “not OK”.

  7.  @billybob6469  In biology, evolution refers to observed changes in organisms over successive generations, to their descent from a common ancestor, and at a technical level to a change in gene frequency over time. Creationism can’t speak for these changes. Claiming your mythology is supported by science doesn’t make it so. It just demonstrates that you aren’t educated in science.

  8.  @billybob6469  Biologists consider it to be a scientific fact that evolution has occurred in that modern organisms differ from past forms, and evolution is still occurring with discernible differences between organisms and their descendants. There is such strong quantitative support for the second that scientists regard common descent as being as factual as the understanding that in the Solar System the Earth orbits the Sun.

  15.  @carolhutchinson7763  If I am discussing doctrine within one Bible, wouldn’t it be very likely the doctrine would be the same in another Bible of the same religion? People may have different beliefs. Doctrine is different. You may personally find slavery to be immoral, as I do. Others try to justify it, But the doctrine is the doctrine.
