  5.  @violetred1309  The problem is that too many people don’t realize prayer works at about the same rate as chance. And that they’re praying to gods they can’t demonstrate even exist. They’re convinced for poor reasons.

Even if you religion teaches you to feel persecuted, just because someone points out you’re wrong doesn’t mean it is hateful. And it’s funny, you wanted to call me hypocritical, when I wasn’t…just because you’re hating on me. You ask how I would have any idea what prayer does if I don’t pray. At least now you’re asking an almost legitimate question. There have been scientific studies that show prayer works at about the same rate as chance. Only slightly worse. You can look it up. But also, why are you convinced I have never tried to pray? That is pretty silly. In fact, I was once a believer, and I even attended Seminary. You “know” my mind won’t be changed, but it already has. The reason you know you can’t change my mind is because you know,you can’t ever show that prayer works, perhaps. And the reason you won’t change your mind is because you don’t care whether your beliefs are true, perhaps. But you accused me of being hypocritical, when I wasn’t. You should admit that an apologize.

No, I’m not doing what others are doing, and I’m not claiming anyone is doing anything to me… Except for you lying and harassing me. I’m mocking,prayer and maybe beliefs. But I can’t mock gods that don’t exist. I can mock the unsubstantiated claims. And no, my comments don’t lead to anyone being canceled. You seem like you’ve been radicalized by rhetoric.

It’s that you can’t demonstrate any truth to claims of a god or claims for prayer working. And no, even if I don’t want people suggesting prayer or lying about it’s effectiveness, that wouldn’t make me a hypocrite. Simply pointing out facts doesn’t make me a hypocrite. However, you telling me I shouldn’t makes you a liar and a hypocrite, and…by your own beliefs, that means you’re sinning…right? Well, good thing for you, sin is even sillier than prayer. Oh, and those studies aren’t “ridiculous”. They’re based on very reliable methods. It’s a shame you aren’t willing to be educated. Luck has nothing to do with my day.
