What you’re suggesting is that a clump of cells should have more rights than other people. You’re arguing for special rights. You’re arguing to give a clump of cells rights over another person’s body. Can you name any other medical situation where you can force someone to give up their autonomy? Can we force you to give up a liver or a kidney?

@dshaunnrisby1817 You can compare yourself to a clump of cells. Fully developed humans aren’t a clump of cells. But try to address the point. Let’s say we are all clumps of cells. Do I, as a clump of cells, have any rights over your body? Can I force you to use your organs to keep another person alive? If you were connected to a medical system which was keeping a violinist alive, would you have the right to disconnect yourself?

@dshaunnrisby1817 Can an unborn clump of cells demonstrate consciousness? Can you?

@dshaunnrisby1817 It doesn’t matter whether or not you personally oppose another person’s rights. Consenting to sex is not consenting to becoming or remaining pregnant. Even consenting to becoming pregnant isn’t consenting to remaining pregnant. You can choose for yourself whether to want to get pregnant, or remain pregnant. Do,you think consenting to driving is the same as consenting to being in an automobile accident? If someone gets into an accident, are they not afforded some way to recover from an accident? Or do,you just say “no do-overs” and leave their body to rot?

@dshaunnrisby1817 You don’t get a do-over. Again, you dishonest human….i never said anything about whether not-yet people are human or not human. Being of human decent, isn’t the same as being a human. You’re intentionally conflating two different usages of the word human. Nobody is saying they aren’t human, they’re in early stages of development and just not fully developed. It’s a serious shame you reject science and cannot understand biology. And yes, both the government AND the Bible both supported slavery. That doesn’t make it right or moral. And has nothing to do with you having a desperate need to deny women rights to their own body, while you try to give not-yet people special rights that nobody else is granted. So weird how you refuse to think.

@s.f.monroe1605 Immaculate. Not maculate. Lol. But that is just fiction anyway.

@CharlesLee-es8jr Oh good, you noticed, one thing we have in common. Now, can you identify the differences? Consciousness. The ability to consider and exercise rights. Autonomy. The ability to survive without dependence upon another person’s body without their consent. Now, I wonder…could you pass a biology course, or are you anti-science?

@CharlesLee-es8jr Can an unborn and undeveloped clump of cells vote?
1
@CharlesLee-es8jr How very pedantic and incorrect you are. And it still doesn’t change the point. Consenting to sex isn’t consenting to becoming pregnant. Nor is it consenting to remaining pregnant. If you choose to drive are you consenting to being in an accident? If you’re in an accident should you be forced to remain injured or keep a damaged vehicle? Or,do,you have the right to medical care and body shop repairs?
1
@CharlesLee-es8jr So, not before they’re born, right? Not before they are developed? Not before they have consciousness? Not before…they have rights.
1
@CharlesLee-es8jr Possibility has to be demonstrated, not simply asserted. Is it possible?
