I can’t speak for your kitchen, but next time you drink a glass of water, it will be very likely some of those water molecules were also consumed by dinosaurs.

@Jag-leaper You’re still working strictly from the Imaginary, and not the evidentiary. This is your world view. Imagination over reality. Which means your god has no power here.
4
@Jag-leaper I challenge you to ask him what would convince me he exists….then, let me know what he tells you. Do you accept?
4
@Jag-leaper Are you willing to ask your God what would convince me?

Your science education is “young”.

@jimlewis2395 Importance, like many things…is relative. To you, I am just important enough to trigger your responses. To others, I am significantly more important. I don’t consider myself a legend, and few others, if any do. My comments aren’t a routine, nor are they pretend. Of course, since you don’t need evidence to form conclusions that may seem a little confusing. However, you didn’t bother to answer my questions. It seems you may be afraid to confront facts. You should be. When I convince you no gods exist, you’ll be in fear of going to a fictitious place of torment.

You’d be wrong. All evidence opposes “thousands” of years ago. But not everyone builds their world view based on evidence.
3
@Jag-leaper Your mind seems closed to the actual evidence. Are you saying you have access to some “truth” the evidence doesn’t support?
3
@Jag-leaper So, you want to suggest your own imagination as evidence?
3
@Jag-leaper You want wonderful testimony….Instead of evidence. Which means you believe whatever you like.
3
@williamfrance2146 No, that isn’t what I mean. I think your question was bad faith. Could you be specific? What don’t you see truth in? And by truth, I hope you mean that which comports with reality…yes?
3
@williamfrance2146 Sounds like a shifting of the burden of proof.
3
Uh oh. Jesus is going to be soooo mad at Texas now.

@John Frye The Bible isn’t an authority on reality, history, or science. The Bible makes unsubstantiated supernatural claims. Besides, you’re worshipping the god of slavery and genocide.
2
@jimlewis2395 Why would anyone choose the Bible as an authority on reality? What methods were used to make conclusions that were written into the Bible? Remember…the Bible makes claims. You need evidence to back the claims. So, what does it say about the number of days it took for creation? Sex days, and God rested on the seventh, right? We know that opposes what science can demonstrate. What about the order of creation? There was day and night before the sun? And plants, before the sun? Can you communicate with a god? Step up your game, maybe. Side step arguments don’t make the Bible any more true.
2
@jimlewis2395 Cool. You can communicate with your God. Next question…. Does your God want me to know He exists? If you don’t already know, can you ask Him?
2
@jimlewis2395 I notice you didn’t bother to address any questions. It’s possible you can’t.
2
@Jag-leaper Perhaps, but by your standards, you can believe it was aliens, or Big Foot, or pixies. So are you proud to be unreasonable?
2
@Jag-leaper You’re a good example of a closed mind. Very ironic.
2
@jimlewis2395 How could it? Try to remember. The Bible makes claims. Those claims need to be supported by evidence. Mundane claims, like humans existing at that time, aren’t impressive. Supernatural claims are made, but can’t be supported by evidence and become unfalsifiable. Unfalsifiable claims are useless. So ignoring the Bible on scientific questions is appropriate.
2
@jimlewis2395 Settle down slim Jim. You’re embarrassing yourself. I never made an assertion that the Bible had a verse that said humans existed at that time. So, you’re lying now. Read it again. I said the Bible makes claims. I simply pointed out that mundane claims aren’t impressive. Does the Bible assert a Jesus rose from the dead? Or that Jesus walked on water? Or that a serpent spoke? Or that a donkey talked? When you say no Bible verse are in dispute with science, you are again lying. How silly of you. Do you suppose the Big Bang model doesn’t dispute six days of creation? Don’t lie? Hey….be ready. You’re going to need to defend slavery soon.
