Prove it.

@tigibiz9774 Reciting scripture isn’t proof. It’s just asserting the claim another way.

@tigibiz9774 Sure, but that is just a fictional claim, and not an authority within reality. Hindus have similar claims. Muslims make similar claims. As do Mormons. You can’t all be right, and not a single one of you can demonstrate you are.

@Feed_the_Kitty_a_Hotdog Less so than you.

@mikemondano3624 Your opinion isn’t relevant. The Bible is a book which makes claims as to the nature of reality but is not evidence of such claims.

@mikemondano3624 The Bible isn’t evidence. The Bible is the claim. More precisely, a series of claims. And those claims would need to be substantiated within reality. Otherwise, all you have are competing claims which do not comport with reality.

@mikemondano3624 The Quran claims Mohammed split the moon in half. This is a claim. Now, can we use the Quran to say this is evidence the moon was split in two? No. Of course not. It’s just a claim which isn’t supported by evidence. Are some people convinced this is true based just on the claim? Yes. Do,they consider this claim evidence? Probably. Is it evidence? No, of course not. It is simply a claim. No, go apply this to every belief you carry.

@mikemondano3624 Show me where I said anything like that. I didn’t. Sorry logic doesn’t make sense to you. Tell me, which supernatural claims in the Bible have ever been demonstrated to be true? As for the moon, you’re acknowledging that the claim made within the Quran about the moon splitting in half (and of course, being put back together) hasn’t been demonstrated to be true, right? It’s simply a claim. But you are almost on to something. Let’s see if you can follow. If the moon was split, and the Quran claimed it was split, do we accept the claim itself, or do we need evidence that supports the claim?
