  22.  @markbrowning4334  You’re making the mistake of demanding others honor people based on your bias, and ignorance. You don’t have a valid justification for demanding that others honor people who do not deserve honor. That isn’t a mistake. Obviously you’re not smart enough to recognize some people during periods of their life, cannot remove themselves from the situation. And even if/when they can, you’re still demanding that the parents are honored. What you’re doing is taking something that is common, and calling it rare, in order to dismiss the absurdity of your position. And your claim about the existence of “one true god” is just nonsense. It is, in fact, a part of the problem here. You can’t ever demonstrate any God exists in reality. Everything you think you know about your God is strictly imaginary and can never be demonstrated to be true. And going back the point of honoring a parent, you’re probed by convinced this imaginary friend of yours deserves to be honored, praised and or worshipped. However, since I’ve attended Seminary, and I have studied the Bible’s historicity, I know a few things about the subject. You’re talking about a fictional character, but an immoral one by all measures. You’re talking about the God who, according to the Bible made slavery permissible by his own laws. You’re talking about an allegedly all knowing, all loving, all powerful being that was so angry over his own failures, couldn’t think of a better way to resolve the problem than to commit genocide and drown everyone…including pregnant women and babies. He didn’t just poof them out of existence, he made sure they suffered first. Including babies. More so, you’re talking about the guy who torments people for eternity, right? So…an eternal punishment which can be warranted for temporal actions. So, even the “one true god” you are convinced exists. (but doesn’t) is neither just, nor moral.
