@jimthain8777 Have you considered there is no reason to conclude the Cosmos is conscious, or has a mind? Or that any god exists?

The Bible isn’t any sort of authority on reality. The Bible does speak of talking snakes and talking donkeys. It also suggests the earth was formed in under six days. The Bible makes claims but cannot support them with evidence. Particularly for supernatural and magical claims. It’s a shame, the education system has failed you. Or, you it.

@jimthain8777 If the Cosmos has always existed, there is no need for a God hypothesis at all.

@seventhdayissabbath8747 If the Holy Spirit is imaginary, and you can’t prove it isn’t, then nothing was moved by it.

I only read one book, but it's a good book, don't you know I act the way I act because the Good Book tells me so If I wanna know how to be good, it's to the Good Book that I go Cause the Good Book is a book and it is good and it's a book I know the Good Book's good because the Good Book says it's good I know the Good Book knows it's good because a really good book would You wouldn't cook without a cookbook and I think it's understood You can't be good without a Good Book cause it's good and it's a book And it is good for cookin'

@seventhdayissabbath8747 “God” changes all the time. And yes, I can use the Bible,to make an internal critique of the Bible. You can either demonstrate God exists, or you can’t. And guess what? You can’t. Start there. If you’re choosing whether or not to believe a thing, you’re doing it wrong.

@jimthain8777 My beliefs aren’t based on wishes, but evidence. Can you choose to believe Ohio floats seven miles over the rest of the country? Is choosing beliefs you can’t demonstrate a reliable way to make a conclusion? Yes, many others believe things that aren’t true. The question is whether or not you can demonstrate such beliefs are true, or if they can be demonstrated to be concluded using fallacious reasoning.

@marieknight9385 I agree. God didn’t give us free will at all. Gods that don’t exist can’t give anyone anything. It’s really quite simple.
1
@marieknight9385 I agree men wrote the books within the Bible. I am also certain that you can’t prove any evidence for the existence of any god or God. And a God that doesn’t exist can’t agree with anything.
1
@marieknight9385 I know you can’t demonstrate any God exists. I know you’re making things up when you try to tell me what I think about the Bible. Believers, always pretending to know things they don’t.
1
@marieknight9385 You’re not even capable of admitting you don’t have evidence. I am better educated than you are, so don’t go there. I’ve attended Seminary, you haven’t. Let’s get to the evidence you claim to have, but don’t. Oh, and if you knew anything about science, you’d know science doesn’t have to prove your God doesn’t exist. Science shows there is no use for a God hypothesis. The reality is, you can’t demonstrate one does. That is the standard.
1
@marieknight9385 You’re so dishonest. I didn’t mention the Bible only to agree it was written by men. I never once suggested you’re defending any position about the Bible. My only position is that you cannot demonstrate any God, god, or gods exists. Sure, you can believe a “god” exists, you just can’t ever demonstrate it isn’t simply imaginary. It doesn’t matter which religion or non-religion.
1
@marieknight9385 The fact is, you can’t demonstrate any God exists. Right? This isn’t an assumption. It’s a fact. And you’re a liar. You’ve lied to yourself, you’ve lied to me. You’ve lied about me. And that tells us all we need to know about the existence of your imaginary friend.
1
@marieknight9385 False. Nature exists, therefore natural processes exist. And we have evidence of natural processes. You still believe in a god for which you have no evidence. You don’t even know what evidence is. I’d ask you why you’re convinced, but it seems like you don’t even know.
1
@marieknight9385 Don’t tell me what I expect others to do. You’ve been wrong about everything else so far. If your standard is that nobody can prove a god doesn’t exist, you’re doing it wrong. Nobody has to prove a god doesn’t exist when you can’t prove one does. By your standard, since you can’t prove unicorns don’t exist…then YOU must believe in unicorns. And Big Foot… And Odin, Thor, the FSM, and leprechauns. Unless you can prove they don’t all exist, they’re as likely as the imaginary friend of yours. Now, you claim a creator guided natural processes. Which of course is just another claim for which you have no evidence. So you’re still at square one, believing something you have no evidence for. And….you don’t even know why you believe it to begin with. What..do you expect others to believe when there is no evidence….like you did? Lol.
