@melikey3758 People that believe in gods are usually worse than people that don’t believe in gods. Suggesting judgement comes soon isn’t clear. Is it human efforts and human laws, or imaginary supernatural judgement?

@jacksparrow3490 Your own admission that different cultures believed in different gods should open your eyes to how people hold different beliefs for different reasons. More reliable methods lead to more reliable results. I don’t believe any gods exist but I am perfectly aware of some serious consequences for taking another life. None of those consequences are based on unsupported supernatural claims. Morality should be based on well being versus suffering, not based on imaginary justice of a thug god. People that believe in gods may feel their purpose is to spread misinformation about the nature of reality. That doesn’t make it noble. Again, I don’t believe any gods exist, but I have purpose and meaning in my life. It just isn’t based on mythology or make believe.

@jacksparrow3490 Don’t pretend you understand what I think, or why I think it. You can’t even demonstrate good reasons for your own beliefs, you don’t get to pretend to understand mine. The Bible talks about a lot of things. It gets most all of it wrong. No, the universe and everything in it did not come about in 6 days. No, there was no original Adam and Eve as described in Genesis. Oh, and even Genesis disagrees with Genesis. No, snakes and donkeys don’t talk. No, a person cannot survive in the belly of a fish for three days. If you’re tired of your child,like,rant and want to engage in intellectual dialog, demonstrate your god exists… Or admit you can’t.

@jacksparrow3490 I’ve already explained this. For me, morality is based on well being versus suffering. Slavery causes suffering. But you’re religion has apparently skewed your moral compass, because you don’t seem to be able to recognize that. You’re sure angry and making a lot of unsubstantiated claims. When I ask you to demonstrate your claims are true, you don’t even bother to address it. Give me evidence of a divine miracle. Please. You’ll be the first in history.

Also, science has overwhelming data that demonstrates the biblical creation story is not accurate, and as such qualifies as mythology. Your inability to understand science simply isn’t an argument against it. The Bible isn’t evidence. The Bible makes claims for,which you need evidence. You can’t offer a collection of books from thousand of years ago as evidence for the supernatural and expect it to be believable. You also fail to recognize that even with the same Abrahamic god myths, there are at least 5 religions which all disagree. None of which have supporting evidence. Instead of incorrectly assuming what I know, think, or believe, maybe be decent enough to ask relevant questions. So far, you’ve only tried to shift the burden of proof, and you haven’t offered evidence of any kind.

@jacksparrow3490 According to the Exodus story, Moses was leading a group of Hebrews out of slavery. This is special treatment for his chosen people. These people were permitted to own slaves. And Hebrew males, if indentured servants, were released after six years. Non Hebrew were not. Females were not. Now, get this part right….I’m not saying the slavery parts of the Bible suggests no gods exist. First, that isn’t my claim. It’s simply pointing out the imaginary god you believe is, per the doctrine, is immoral, or at least makes immoral laws. Keep in mind my position. I’m not claiming no gods exist. My position is that there isn’t evidence that supports your claims. And this is where your problem lies….you don’t seem to understand this. And you know you can’t offer evidence.

Hell, there isn’t even historical evidence for Moses or a mass exodus from Egypt. You have claims, not evidence.

I am demonstrably better informed than you are. Yes, out of the Abrahamic god myths came Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Mormonism, and Jehovah’s Witnesses. Guess what, none of those religions have evidence for their beliefs, AND none of those religions agree. But MOST of the religions of the world do not stem from this myth. Most have myths of their own. You don’t even know that your belief in god has made you immoral.

I provided evidence to support my claim. It seems you’re just here because you’re angry, but you have no interest in civil discourse. Yo don’t seem to understand your personal testimony isn’t useful in measuring supernatural claims. Muslims, Hindus, and people of all religions make similar claims. Even those who claim to be alien abductees are more likely to be true than supernatural claims. And for good reason. But they don’t offer evidence either.
