Your kids may not get an education. Mine did.

@ScottPalmer-mp1we Why? Because they don’t believe in magic?
1
Oh right. Parents don’t want their kids indoctrinated, but drag them to church to become slave minds.

Democrats understand the scientific theory of evolution.
1
@Behoyaknow Hypothesis: a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further Scientific theory: A scientific theory is an explanation of an aspect of the natural world and universe that can be (or a fortiori, that has been) repeatedly tested and corroborated in accordance with the scientific method, using accepted protocols of observation, measurement, and evaluation of results. Fact: A scientific theory is an explanation of an aspect of the natural world and universe that can be (or a fortiori, that has been) repeatedly tested and corroborated in accordance with the scientific method, using accepted protocols of observation, measurement, and evaluation of results Which one(s) of these are you confused about?
1
@Behoyaknow Science is a method. Our most reliable methods to measure our reality. You should learn why those methods are more reliable than any other.
1
@JerryArmstrong-c2s So, you’re admitting you don’t understand science.
1
@laryjohnson5736 So, you’re going to use a science based computer device over a science based internet, to argue that science isn’t reliable? Your brilliance has been clouded by your own fallacies.
1
@JerryArmstrong-c2s Tiktaalik? Do you know Tiktaalik was a novel prediction proven by evolution?
1
@laryjohnson5736 There is an issue with your understanding of what a theory is. Only called a theory? A scientific theory isn’t a guess, like theory is used colloquially. So it isn’t “only” a theory. A scientific theory is the highest level an idea can achieve in science. A scientific theory is a model built using facts. And yes, evolution is indeed a fact. So, the problem here isn’t science. The problem is your lack of understanding what science is, and how it works. But this information has been available to you your entire life. So, I wonder how old you are to have avoided learning any of this for as long as you have?
1
@laryjohnson5736 In everyday use, the word "theory" often means an untested hunch, or a guess without supporting evidence. But for scientists, a theory has nearly the opposite meaning. A theory is a well-substantiated explanation of an aspect of the natural world that can incorporate laws, hypotheses and facts.
1
@laryjohnson5736 You’ve just demonstrated that you have NO understanding of science. Congratulations. Do you have access to Google?
1
It’s a shame and a poor reflection on people who criticize the very science they don’t understand,
1
@laryjohnson5736 Rest assured…My education exceeds your own.
1
@laryjohnson5736 No, a theory isn’t “only what someone believes”. Scientific theories are built on facts. I already know how you don’t understand this. You’ve never had the education. No, theories cannot “easily be wrong” in science. In fact, there isn’t a single scientific theory you can show to be wrong. And when science gets something wrong, do you know what the only thing is that can correct it? Better science. Do,you have access to Google? Try searching: Why shouldn't you say it's just a theory?
1
@laryjohnson5736 A widely spread misconception is that a scientific theory becomes a scientific law after finding more evidence supporting it, but that is actually not the case at all. Perhaps you have confusion here as well. Scientific theory and scientific law are two different terms serving different purposes. thus, a scientific theory can't become a scientific law.
1
@laryjohnson5736 What grade I am in isn’t relevant to the facts or the discussion. Attempting to bring it into the conversation shows you’re desperate to rely on fallacious reasoning, and you can’t defend your position based on the merits of the argument. But rest assured, I am better educated on this subject than you are, and I’ve already been able,to demonstrate it.
1
@JerryArmstrong-c2s Yes, that translates as an open admission of your lack of understanding.
1
@laryjohnson5736 I do have another idea you haven’t considered. The god you were taught to believe in…only exists in the imagination.
1
@JerryArmstrong-c2s And you not only seem like a person who relies on fallacious reasoning, you’re demonstrating it. I’ve used Google before. Do you need me to explain how to use it? I’ve read scientific papers before. Do you need me to explain how to read?
1
So each of you admits you don’t understand what science is or how it works. Good for you. But you can change that.
1
@JerryArmstrong-c2s Yes, it seems apparent that if someone has hope you can learn something, they aren’t “your type”. It that because there is no hope of you actually learning anything?
