@robertkleiman
You claim to be neither Christian nor Muslim, and are asking in good faith. Yet, you’re still convinced a god exists?
I’m happy to have conversation, so long as it remains honest.
I can respond as if the question was in good faith. You’re arguing the semantics of the burden of proof.
Remember, my position is that there isn’t warrant to believe a god does exist.
The burden of proof lies with the one making the claim.
If you claim a god exists, it is your burden of proof.
You make some very strange assertions. There are more documented accounts that God exists than there isn’t?
Again, this is about burden of proof. You don’t have “documented accounts” that a god exists.
You have many different claims that many different gods exist.
You don’t have historical evidence for any god, God or gods. What you have at nest are unsubstantiated claims.
So, by your standard…the Christian god exists, because we can’t prove it doesn’t?
That applies equally to Allah? Allah also exists because we can’t prove it doesn’t?
And Vishnu exists, because we can’t prove it doesn’t?
Same goes for Odin, Thor, and the Flying Spaghetti Monster?
You can also prove BigFoot doesn’t exist? And unicorns?
Can you prove you were not abducted by aliens anytime in the last five years?
If you want to discuss evidence for the existence of a god, we can.
But you have a misunderstanding about the burden of proof.
So, which god do you believe exists?
