@dylonjackson4576 Besides, they didn’t mention faith. But think about it, if you have such capacity…. Faith can be applied to any belief, right? Maybe it would be a good idea to question it.

@dylonjackson4576 Lol. Faith…in god. Faith can be applied to any god belief, right? It’s not like your narrow religious beliefs encompass the totality of the gods people have faith in. Faith is just the excuse people use when they don’t have good reason for their beliefs, it seems. So, which god do you believe in, anyway? The god of slavery and genocide? Or don’t you read your own holy book?

@dylonjackson4576 If the premise is your God doesn’t care, or enjoys when people suffer, perhaps you’re right. If your God is awful and enjoys when people suffer, then how is it deserving of worship? So, you’re arguing that your God created suffering for his own amusement, perhaps? There could be bad and good things without childhood cancer and people,getting locked into boxes. No matter what, the problem of evil is a burden you have to deal with. As for a superiority complex, it’s just evidence that you’re not qualified to make such an assessment and come to conclusions without warrant. Why do you feel the need to be hypocritical? Don’t you have a bit of a superiority complex attacking me, especially while being hypocritical? Oh, that’s right….you use faith to reinforce belief that aren’t warranted. @dylonjackson4576 Just about every religion on the planet has the same problem of evil and lack of evidence to warrant belief in the supernatural. That doesn’t give you a pass. So why not explain why you worship the god of slavery? So why not explain why your worship the god that drowned babies? All part of the plan, is that what you’re saying? It does prove your imaginary friend is awful. And here you are, getting a dopamine hit by poorly defending unwarranted beliefs.

@arixelle7859 First, Why question me? If you’re going to question why someone questions, you already have an answer. But if you’re going to tell me religion doesn’t hurt anyone, we both know you’re wrong. If someone posts a comment in a public forum, it is open to responses. Since we’re questioning…tell me…which god or gods do you believe exist, and why? Do you worship the god of the Bible who, according to doctrine, made slavery permissible by his own law? The same god that allegedly drown pregnant women and babies? Are you unaware of the harm of Christian Nationalism impacting and hurting people today? Perhaps there is good reason to question, yes? And please, don’t pretend my comments are preventing anyone from living their lives. Asking questions, or even mocking terrible ideas, in no way hinders a person from living their lives. Right?

@arixelle7859 It’s funny to me that you think you can speak for a God which you can’t demonstrate even exists. But I don’t think it is OK or funny to suggest the god of slavery and genocide deserves praise or worship just because he is needy. A relationship with an imaginary being can be a bad thing. Especially if you think this relationship over rules decency and morality. However, none of that resolves the contradictions of saying god is love.

Since you claim to have a relationship with this God…would,you be willing to ask Him what would convince me, then let me know? Of course…there will be some reason this won’t work. Right?

Nobody is telling you that you can’t. So, if you talk to,your imaginary friend, other people will talk to you. And if you don’t have an imaginary friend, other people will still talk to you. @jt2727 If a god exists, it must have chosen not to intervene. Just like every time someone gets raped. If you have to power to stop the bad thing from happening, and you don’t….then the bad thing happens because of you. And no, I don’t choose not to believe in gods. I am unconvinced any gods exist. This is very elementary level stuff. Could you choose to believe Ohio floats seven miles over the rest of the country? I doubt it. However, if a God exists, it apparently chooses not to reveal itself. So, no. You’re not speaking truth. You’re parroting logical fallacies, at best. Think about it…what convinced you a magical sky Santa exists?

I tell you what…go ahead and ask your god what would convince me, then let me know. If you’re right…I’ll be convinced. Fair enough? Or…can’t your god do that? If he can’t, it may be because he doesn’t exist. Or, it could be he chooses not to. Now follow along… If he chooses not to, then how could I be convinced?
