@TheRealCrimdor That doesn’t mean it isn’t indoctrination.

@TheRealCrimdor But it is being promoted over other religions. I never said anything about it being mandatory either. Not relevant to the argument,

@TheRealCrimdor The First Amendment has two provisions concerning religion: the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause. Both are exclusionary. The Establishment clause prohibits the government from "establishing" a religion, or promoting one religion over others. It means religion cannot interfere with the state. The Free Exercise clause prohibits the state from interfering with religion. Whether or not, you’re a Christian or other believer, or non-believer isn’t relevant.

@TheRealCrimdor You just made a claim that MSNBC won’t tell you if other religious groups have their own courses. You can’t really make that claim with nothing to back it up. But your argument is once again…Christianity is getting privileges? And how telling. You know my position is correct but you can’t argue against it.

Remember when God got angry over his own failure and drowned babies?

And, the guy they’re interviewing even states they’re trying to bring church back into school. We need better schooling and less religion. Real magic is fake. Fake magic is real. The same applies to God, or so it seems.

Jesus never preached indoctrination. That may be true. His would be closer to ‘slaves, obey your earthly masters with all fear. Not only the kind, but the cruel as well’. Or something close. Translations vary.

@stevef3336 Jesus would be against killing babies? Jesus is God, God is Jesus, right? And God drowned pregnant women and babies during Noah’s flood, right? God also made slavery permissible by his own laws. This included children as well.

@TheRealCrimdor Aw, calm down? Says the over emotional, outraged, UNAmerican.
6
@stevef3336 Dude, you’re pretending as if Jesus is a real person.
5
@stevef3336 First of all, humans wrote the various books that comprise the Bible. The Bible makes claims about reality, which are not supported by evidence of any kind. Remember, the Bible makes claims. It lacks evidence. Heaven is also fiction. What a shame you’re lacking any education whatsoever.

@stevef3336 I’m not pretending. A historical Jesus may or may not have existed. But we know people don’t live for thousands of years. If a man existed then, he couldn’t be alive today. All the evidence shows this to be true. What you’re failing to do is demonstrate he does or even could exist today.
3
@stevef3336 By your standard, you must also believe unicorns and Big Foot exist too. And Odin. And the FSM. Nice standards you use to accept belief in imaginary beings.
3
@stevef3336 I’ve attended Seminary, and have read the Bible more than you. I’ve also studied its historicity. You haven’t.

Freedom From Religion Foundation will likely get involved.
2
@TheRealCrimdor Why would you want to indoctrinate kids into believing magic is real?
2
@stevef3336 Exodus 21. Leviticus 25. Slavery, and God’s laws for it. I’ve attended Seminary, and have studied the Bible. You haven’t. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been convinced of some nonsense grace period, which the Bible doesn’t support. The fact is, according to the doctrine, God drowned pregnant women and babies. So, you worship the god of slavery?

@heidinotheidi Thanks for the polite response. You’re somewhat correct. While one may say I believe less, the truth of the matter is that I don’t adhere to any supernatural beliefs at all. Not only that, but I have a better understanding of reality than I did before, and more importantly, as better understanding of morality. I’d say leaving religion behind has given me the freedom to be a better person, and have a better understanding of science and philosophy. 👍

@heidinotheidi lol, I know enough to understand that I don’t know enough. 😎👍
