Celebrating at Christmas isn’t necessarily honoring anyone else but who you love and cherish. I’m not honoring any God or gods by spending time with family. Who cares what they want. You do you. Peace and reason, in every season. 🍍

@Sherita-t7j You clearly don’t know what I am celebrating. It’s weird you think,you have some magical ability to know what I think better than I do. Not everybody celebrates it the way you are insisting. I’m not denying. Slavery was awful, and immoral. And “awful” is obviously an understatement, but I hope you take my meaning. And I realize the Bible supports the idea of owning slaves as property, which makes Christianity itself problematic. However, Xmas isn’t limited to your narrow perspective. I don’t believe in or worship any God or gods, as I am certain they are all fiction, and pretty awful concepts. Do you think people are given people to others as gifts today?

@Sherita-t7j How absurd to claim gift giving started with slavery. Slavery didn’t even start with your ancestors. You can choose to honor your ancestors any way and any time you like. Nobody is trying to stop you. And no, you wouldn’t be dishonoring anyone by enjoying the holidays with your current family and friends. I wonder, did any of your ancestors ever own slaves? And how would know?
