@margiedusseau8672 A 2009 study published in the American Journal of Public Health estimated that 45,000 Americans die annually due to lack of health insurance, which is more than double the previous estimate made by the Institute of Medicine in 2002. This figure is about two and a half times higher than the 2002 estimate Your personal experience is unrelated to actual data, or to actual reality. After all, you still believe in magic…right?

@dendradwar9464 He did.

@VintageFLA That isn’t what they’re saying though.

@eringo-bragh4243 So,,you’re on a science based computer device, over a science based internet, arguing that science is unreliable. And somehow…magic is?

@noneshere Same imaginary nonsense. Same immoral ideologies.

@margiedusseau8672 Well, some people have been indoctrinated into a slave mentality. I bet it was your religion.

@eringo-bragh4243 Any “commandment” to love others shows a complete lack of understanding of human nature.

@eringo-bragh4243 God doesn’t work in mysterious ways if no God exists. If there is a standard to live up to, like tell the truth instead of lie.. Then why are you lying about the existence of a God? Why would worshipping the God of slavery be virtuous? Why should anyone worship a God that drowns babies out of anger? Are we to believe this god is all knowing, all powerful, all loving….yet he couldn’t think of a better way to manage his anger than to drown pregnant women and babies?

@eringo-bragh4243 I’ve attended Seminary. I am more qualified than Kristi Burke. Just because men pick what they want from the Bible doesn’t mean what the Bible contains is either true or moral. You can pick and choose whether you think slavery is morally permissible, but the Bible says it is. You can pick or choose whether drowning babies out of anger is praise worthy, but your Bible suggests it is. You can pick or choose whether you want to believe magic is real, but real magic is fake.

@eringo-bragh4243 If you attend dental school, you’re probably more qualified to answer a question about dentistry than most people who have not. And of course, you’d normally agree, but today you may dispute this. But yes, studying a subject would make me better qualified than someone who hasn’t. Weird you’d think otherwise. Oh, you’re not impressed by the work others do? Work you haven’t done? That’s fine. That doesn’t change whether or not facts about the Bible are true or not. We both know neither you, nor anyone can demonstrate that a God exists. So, the Bible can be used for internal critiques, but it’s undoes when measuring reality.

@eringo-bragh4243 I never said attending seminary makes me an expert. Are all your friends made of straw too? I specifically said it makes me better qualified than those who haven’t. Do your beliefs force you to be dishonest, or is that a choice? Your dishonest anecdote doesn’t even qualify as data. And nice standard. Nobody can demonstrate something that doesn’t exist, doesn’t exist. In other words….you believe in unicorns. Right? You believe in Big Foot, right? Can you demonstrate Darth Vader doesn’t exist…or do you believe Darth Vader exists too?
