Such believers are conditioned, over a lifetime, to think believing whatever you like is considered “evidence”. They call this “faith” and it gives them an unwarranted, unjustified feeling of confidence in their beliefs.

@LasseStaldMadsen What is printed on the money conflicts with our Secular Constitution. We are also free to stay here, and mock your silly beliefs. We are also free to encourage you to learn how science works, because apparently you don’t already know. We are also free to remind you….real magic is fake, and fake magic is real. Just like your God.

@Lerian_V Oh yeah? Which “creator god”? Can natural processes create? Of course. Do natural forces which create life require those forces to be a “god”? Also, our Declaration of Independence isn’t our Constitution. Also, you can never ever ever demonstrate any god exists in reality.
6
@Lerian_V In the Declaration there are three references to God, and each one is different. In one reference, Jefferson uses the term "Nature's God." Later, he uses "Creator" and lastly "Divine Providence." Many scholars have debated on how to interpret his use of these terms. None of that has any bearing as to whether or not your imaginary friend exists in reality.

@Lerian_V Shifting the burden of proof won’t help you here.
3
@Lerian_V Please provide evidence for the existence of any god.
3
@Lerian_V Does your creator god drown babies?

@Lerian_V May I recommend The Founding Myth by Andrew L. Seidel?

@JesusisGod-yk4th We don’t need your hate speech.

myopinion2752 You’re making claims you cannot substantiate. If God created evil, and droned babies, then he isn’t just doing good for the world. It’s a shame you seem to have not learned science.
2
myopinion2752 If you believe the doctrine…. God sent a flood, and drowned everyone on earth, including pregnant women and babies. And he did so because he couldn’t handle his own anger over his own failures. So, according to you, drowning pregnant women and babies is love. I don’t need that sort of love, or whatever you cal it. The reality is….you can’t ever demonstrate your claims about your imaginary friend.

@benedictcowell6547 Truth statements are those which comport with reality. Those who assert a God exists can never, ever, ever.. demonstrate any truth to their claim.

@crb4059 Leftists tend to be better educated and less religious.

myopinion2752 In biology, hearts have nothing to do,with caring, empathy, or love. These are emotions generated by chemicals within the brain. Faith just means believing whatever you want, despite evidence against your own belief. Nobody is disputing whether people have the right to believe nonsense.

@terrymoses204 Was added to the pledge two hundred years after our Secular nation was founded.

@jaxonboys3366 Is that really a good standard? I mean, you can’t disprove Big Foot. Do you believe in Big Foot? You can’t disprove unicorns. Do you believe in unicorns? You can’t disprove Odin, Thor, Zeus, Allah, or Vishnu. Do you believe they exist? If it could be demonstrated any God exists, that would be the time to accept the claim. But nobody ever has, and there is no reason to believe they ever will.
1
@jaxonboys3366 That may be the absolute worst argument for the existence of anything, ever.
1
@jaxonboys3366 Oh, and by the way….depending on which version of God you’re offering, we may indeed be able to prove it doesn’t exist logically. Let’s ramp up. If you claim God is a married bachelor, God doesn’t exist because a married bachelor can’t exist. And the same applies for a God who has attributes that are logically inconsistent. God of classical theism, or Christian God of scripture is described as omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. These three attributes represent a logical impossibility, like a married bachelor.
1
@jaxonboys3366 I just did. If you mean the God of classical theism, or Christian God of scripture, described as an omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent being.
1
@jaxonboys3366 Does evil exist? If God is unable to prevent evil, then he is not all-powerful. If God is not willing to prevent evil, then he is not all-good. If God is both willing and able to prevent evil, then why does evil exist?
1
@jaxonboys3366 You’re new at this. Lol.
1
@jaxonboys3366 You still at it, little boy? Just admit you’re an awful person because of your religion, and you can move on and try to be a better person. Only hopefully, you learn a little along the way.
1
@jaxonboys3366 “that’s the way we were designed”. lol. Nope. No evidence to support the existence of a designer. Since you mentioned consciousness; Every example we have of consciousness results from a physical brain. You have no evidence consciousness can exist without a physical brain. Even you have a physical brain, believe it or not. And I don’t need your permission to be me. Weird you’d think I do. And you don’t even know what free will is.
1
@jaxonboys3366 Poor Jaxon. Stuck with primitive beliefs which can’t be justified.
