@jeffhampton2767 Or read their Bibles.

@Raineygoodyears The “Holy Spirit” is just make believe, until you can demonstrate it exists in reality. And you can’t.

Going to church is not a good thing either way.

@Raineygoodyears Yes, I attended Seminary earlier in my life, when I did believe. Since that time, I have learned my reasons for being convinced weren’t true. I’ve learned quite a bit about the Bible’s history, and it’s origins. For example, we don’t know who authored the gospels. The names associated with the gospels are church tradition. We have no original manuscripts. None of the accounts are a first hand claim to have witnessed a resurrected Jesus. Claims that there were 500 witnesses are just claims, and cannot be confirmed historically. In addition, we have no good reason to believe supernatural events take place today, or in history.

Hey Joe…. You don’t even know who wrote the gospels.

@Factsnotfox Because real magic is fake. Fake magic is real.

@Raineygoodyears Rainey, I’ve attended Seminary. I’ve read the Bible multiple times. What are you disputing specifically? Do you know why wrote the gospels? No, you don’t.

@Raineygoodyears No, the Seminary I attended was not online. If you must know, PIME (The Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions), Saints Peter and Paul Seminary, serving foreign missions. But that hardly matters. Addressing the arguments matters.

Evangelicals don’t seem to be able to recognize what critical thought is. They’ve been conditioned over a lifetime to accept claims unsupported by evidence, as evidence. This is a serious flaw in reasoning which leads to unreliable conclusions and false beliefs.
