  3.  @SDC1949  The scientific theory of evolution is based on science, and is absolutely a fact of reality. I never suggested they were mutually exclusive. Weird. And the science never says a God wasn’t responsible, however there is no evidence of a God and there is no need for such a hypothesis. You’ve only demonstrated my point. Also, suggesting “there will come a time” is by definition an irrational position. Also, there is no,evidence souls even exist. Which further demonstrates my point.

Biblical views did not give us western culture, we have western culture despite biblical views. Our country was founded as a Secular nation because our founding fathers knew the harm religion brings. The more religious a state, the higher the infant mortality, the more STDs, the lower the education, and the more violent crimes.

  15.  @SDC1949  I don’t say this with malice hatred either, but those are claims not evidence. And faith is the practice of self deception. Faith has no mechanism to determine whether a belief is true, but will bolster confidence in the belief even when it is false. Every religion uses faith, but every religion can’t be right. Plus, me could have faith no god exits. Faith in Hinduism, faith in Islam, faith in Paganism…do you see the problem with just depending on faith? So, is there any way to demonstrate any truth to those claims? Is there any way to show they’re not just imaginary? This isn’t about free will. Sure, I can freely choose to believe things as true when they are not. But if I’m choosing what to believe, instead of going by the evidence, then I’m being dishonest with myself. And I’d rather not do that.
