@rclines001 I haven’t told anyone how to live. I simply pointed out the fallaciousness of holding a belief not because it is proven to be true, but because it can’t be proven not to be true. The reason that is fallacious is because if you used that same standard for other mythological beings, which ones can be proven not to exist? Nobody has to prove something doesn’t exist, when people who claim it does can never prove it does. I don’t care whether or not you have faith. However, I can point out that people can have faith in things that aren’t true, and that faith isn’t a pathway to truth. Please keep in mind this isn’t a personal attack of any kind. So I hope you don’t feel that it is.

@rclines001 That’s like saying that you’re telling me how to live, because you said you’d never tell anyone else how to live, and that I shouldn’t do that. When I’m not. You’re free to believe whatever you like. You can choose your beliefs if you’d like. And it doesn’t matter what you believe. Again, I’m only point out the fallaciousness of the argument. But I’d also like to point out that science has shown that prayer works at about the same rate as chance. You’re still free to believe differently, and free to pray, and free to worship anyway you choose. That is one of the great things about America and the First Amendment.

@davidtherwhanger6795 That isn’t a proper way to engage in discourse, if you expect honest dialog….which I now assume you do not. You have an opportunity to show me otherwise, however. Do you care to explain the purpose of your question? Ethics, or moral philosophy, is a branch of philosophy that involves systematizing, defending, and recommending concepts of right and wrong behavior. Morality, the differentiation of intentions, decisions and actions between those that are distinguished as proper and those that are improper. I don’t think objective morality can be demonstrated. Can you prove to me that hunger, pain, or favorite flavors of ice cream exist?
