  2. If you’re going to throw out the OT, you’re dismissing the Ten Commandments, as well as the origins of sin and the requirement for redemption. Your prophecy of a redeemer is no longer useful. Also, the OT is where God makes slavery (owning another person as property) permissible by his own laws. Nowhere in the OT or NT is that ever reversed. “Taken out of context” just means you’re too lazy to read it for yourself.

  7.  @ToHoldNothing  Paul is the only first hand account. It is tricky though, because what Paul describes is more of a vision. Also, even the second hand claims have the problem of anonymous authors.
